You know, the sad truth is that some people thrive on problems. If a problem doesn't exist, they create one. If a manageable one exists, they exaggerate it and make it everybody's problem so they can blame all of the rest of us for it and pretend to care about it. Case pinpoint, racism. Who owned the majority of the slaves in the South? Democrats. They resented the North and their disapproval of slavery,leading to the civil war.(Isn't that term "civil war" about the ultimate oxymoron if one ever existed? What's civil about a war?)After the greatest president in U.S.history, a Republican, signed the Emancipation Proclamation ending legalized indentured servitude, who initiated jim crow laws to retain control over liberated slaves? Also, did you know that black persons in the south were forbidden to own firearms? What would have happened to the demoklansmen riding into town in the middle of the night if the blacks were armed with rifles with scopes? Too bad nobody got to find out. Organized labor is another thing. We all benefitted by laws controlling unsafe working conditions, hours of employment, wage guarantees, time and a half laws, etc, but who took over the unions and turned them into troublemaking institutions on the worksite and fed more people into voters for the left?The left itself! Who also are the employees with the worst attitude problems, substance problems, and chronic absenteeism issues? Also, the environmental movement, starting in the '60's?Who jumped on that bandwagon and made it the mess it's today? I remember all the scare tactics during my high school years regarding imminent starvation, death due to pollution, the horrors of overpopulation, you know the rest. Who carried all that falsehood to national attention, creating environmental laws that over regulated business and industry at the expense of billions of dollars and without any common sense. The crazy thing, is that no matter how much they are given, it's never enough. Nothing satisfies the terminally lazy. Liberalism caters to laziness, causing more in the meantime. The entitlement mentality is living proof of that.
I feel that the liberal position in politics and government is the most mentally lazy, morally bankrupt, and the most terminally corrupt position known to man, and look who perpetuates it at our expense.
