Just talked with Jim Curtis the track manager at Thompson. He said they're probably not going to be open this weekend as they had hoped for. But the Gasser/409 race is happening short of a tornado coming through and taking the place out. I know there's a few more of you guys out there that can come and have some fun. Depending on the car count our prize money may be a little less, but Jim said they will work something out. All new LED lighting is installed at the track with lots of great improvements.

Bryon looks like allot of mud could still be around. I remember a Thompson event many years ago that several of us had to get dragged out by that blue tractor. I hope that is still there!

Track will open at 9:00 am on Friday. Here’s a few updates pics. From what I’m understanding staging lanes will be on opposite side that they were and pits will be on opposite side also. Timing shack at 1/8th mile

Sure hate to miss this event. We always have a great time. I close on my house Tuesday and need a big shoehorn and vaseline to get the rest of the garage into the new place. Been working everyday for the past 4 months. And yes I did find parts I forgot I had.

They do have fuel 110 and 112 at the track. Pits are going to be a bit different, there will be no pitting on the side that we had pitted before, all of the pitting is on the south side of the track and is not reserved for anybody but the AAgassers. I will be getting there early to try and rope an area off for us.

Dave Mills breaks into a much deserved 8.98 at 146.6mph!!! Rickys61 broke into the 12s with a 12.96. Bryan Fugate made it to the finals of gamblers race Friday night and we split the winnings

The win goes to Scott Hall, runner up to Dave Mills and semi finalist Denny Perry and Tom Trupa. Great racing guys. Unfortunately Tim Geib had a fuel pump failure and I got flat front tire from a rock and didn’t get to go to eliminations. Great job on the win pappy is smiling g down on you buddy. Congratulations on the runner up to Dave Mills and most importantly the 8 second pass you’ve been chasing, well deserved my friend.
