so according to that cart, a 200-4r would not bolt directly into my '58 with a powerglide? haven't been under the car much (just got it) but do i just move the cross member back or to i need to weld some sort of extension on it for the trans mount. i was advised on this site that it would fit right in?

Overall nearly the same in length, but the mount pad would need to be moved. X frame and the orig crossmember makes it difficult to just slide the crossmember back. Check on Bowtie Overdrives, may have a mount for you. I got one that was bolt in for my 62 and the 700R4.
