trim clip

Need pointers on how to fix this. Front edge of left door. Trim piece is missing a clip. Will I need to remove the door panel to get to this?
Need to get it taken care of before it gets snagged and ruins the trim.

Had a difficult time trying to figure out what the molding was, and the type of clip that you need. Then, like a bolt of lightning out of the sky, you need a clip that has a threaded hole, and a screw to hold it tight to the door. Have no idea where to find one.. In a pinch, you might try double sided tape.

has a ton of clips available. The long horizontal trim strips on a 58 impala have a stud that secures with an acorn nut at the back edge of the door that may work for you. The trim looks similar in width may have to trim / grind it a lil bit to fit your trim.
