The 962 block was a single notch 348 block,much like any car 348 car would be.Most 962's also had nodular iron main caps and thicker bulkheads.The 58-61 truck blocks had 2 notches per bore,making them the least desireable of the W blocks.62 model and later truck 348's all had the single notch.

OK, thanks. I'm looking at buying a chevy pick-up frame that has a 348 with casting # 962 in it and the guy said he pulled the engine out of a "50's gravel truck" so it looks like it may have been a transplant in the gravel truck??.
