What is the oil capacity of the 348 truck oil pan

I put a 348 in my 1934 pickup and I have a problem. I am going to have to make my own dipstick tube to clear the Sanderson headers. I have a 1965 348 truck oil pan on it that has the dip stick on the passengers side angled toward the front. Over the years I lost the dipstick tube anyway so I have to make one. I have made a mock up one out of 3/8 aluminum fuel tubing that will come out near the fuel pump and mount to a front head bolt hole. I guess I should transfer this mock up to a steel tube though. I was going to use flexible speedometer cable for the dipstick because it has to make a 90º bend and attach a handle to it.
The engine is new and hasn't been run yet so I need to know the capacity of the oil pan so that I can mark the dip stick oil level marks.
How far down into the pan should my new dipstick tube go?
If anyone can shoot down this plan, I am all eyes...

Lokar's dipsticks are too short for my application, plus they are overpriced in my opinion.
There are lower priced versions on Ebay and elsewhere, but if they are too short then they just won't work. Was worth a shot.
