Setting tape, buy it from a glass shop. Not rubber or any type of glue. Setting taper comes in 3 thicknesses. Use one or a combination of the 3 to get correct fit.
And if it's the fabric type and you want it to tighten up I've heard that after installation, wet it with diesel fuel or kerosene. Never tried it myself.
Got the setting tape at the glass shop and tried to install it with a rubber hammer. That was futile. Wasted effort and frustration. Couldn't get either end of the channel started onto the setting tape and window. Came up with a pretty good idea that work awesome. Using a couple of wood pipe clamps, I slowly and evenly pressed the channel onto the window. It was amazing and easy to work. If only the installation of the window back into the door would have been that easy. Any ways thanks for every ones help here, just have a lil fine tuning on the regulator and she will be back to normal.
