X on a 348 block

Yup......I know it's been discussed here somewhere
but I can't find it.........
What 348 blocks had an X on the block?........

I had a 655 Block that had the X on it

It started in spring of 62 with the 962 blocks. This all happened at the same time as the shift to the CFD foundry, julian casting dates and Armasteel main caps on all W blocks.

I understand that this casting is the same as a 409. Just has thicker walls.

Not true. Onthe two #655 blocks that I have bored, 409 bore size would have put cylinder wall thickness well under .100".

655 block I sold to Gav has the X. Another one I sold last summer had it too
