Well, the new Lakewood solved the TKX problem, so there was a miss alignment after all. Trans stays in 4th gear now....and i am a happy camper

I kinda cheated, cut off the column shifter protrusion, counter sunk a patch, filled in with duraglass, painted column and looks good for me....just sayin, saved a little money!!!

guess what...even a 1330 u-joint won't go thru the front ring of an X frame car without a little notching LOL and then when i tried to hook up the emergency (parking?) brake, guess what u joint was in the way.... i'm having so much fun....know i am going to enjoy this TKX 5 speed someday. Think...

was 61 the last year for chrome plated ones?? i bought a 61 door hardtop channel a few years back...cut it down and re-welded the tabs, but it did solve my rust out issue on my wagon rear door window.

Had my favorite welder tackle my offset stock trans cross member for my new TKX (about 1.5 " further to the rear) A little paint and back in the car..
