Dodge announced that the 2023 Challengers and Chargers will be the last year of gas powered vehicles. Chevrolet announces that the next generation of Corvettes will be electric powered. I'm glad all my vehicles still go VROOM, VROOM. John

So who insures your classic car. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!

I have my classic cars insured by American Modern. I believe they are affiliated with The Hartford Insurance Company through AARP. The rates are very cheap but the more I look into it the more worried I have become. I have had them for about 4 years, no claims, so no real problems, but I am not...

Anyone else paying over $6.00 /gal for heating oil?

$6.129 / gal in some areas of CT. with the average price around $5.75 /gal. So 93 octane fuel is cheaper, see we are getting a bargain at the pumps and don't even know it! :no ( if you believe that I have a completely restored chevelle I will sell you for $500):laugh2

If money was no object what would you buy at the candy store?

I think a 58 Impala convertible, (you know if the top goes down the price goes up), with a 348 of course. or maybe a 60 Impala convertible with 348, 4 speed . I would have to look at all the factory colors, but I think I'm partial to red! Hey, maybe get one of each.:cloud

So, What brand / octane gas do you use?

I live in a very small town so gas choices are at a minimum. There is a Mobil / Exxon, Cumberland Farms and Shell station. The Shell station is a little out of the way, not a big deal, but my grandson has just made the switch on his car to Shell 93 octane V Power and says it's fantastic. I went...

Is this a new trend for Restoration shops?

Hi, 62BillT I guess Paul has a way of doing it, but you must use all 62 parts ( cannot mix 61 /62 pedal install parts ). But, this is exactly the problem I'm afraid I will run into when my installer says, "It can't be done"

Is this a new trend for Restoration shops?

Hi nana1962409, I would definitely get my parts from him, but I'm 81 years young, I have no lift with minimum tools for this job. I am ashamed to say unfortunately I was not brought up around tools or mechanics. But, I love my wheels, and especially 4 speeds, so while I am able... I am living...

Is this a new trend for Restoration shops?

So as some of you know I have been searching for a shop that does transmission work, ( swapping out an auto for manual ). I contacted 5 shops in my area that do this sort of thing. Out of the 5 only two contacted me saying when I have all the parts let them know and they will get me in. I know...
