GAVE $260 BECAUSE IT HAS A CLEAR SD TITLE. PENNINGTON COUNTY PRESENTLY TRIES TO COLLECT 4% SALES TAX ON OLD CARS DETERMINED BY $$$ COLLECTOR CAR VALUE...UNLESS A 'MOTOR VEHICLE GENERAL AFFIDAVIT' IS PRESENTED AND SIGNED BY SELLER. WE HAVE A FRAME WITH SUSPENSION, A 283 ENGINE AND AN OVERDRIVE TRANNY. IRONICALLY I FOUND ANOTHER O/D PULL CABLE IN AMONGST BROKEN GLASS, MOUSE/RACOON POOP, STUFFING, ROTTED CARPET AND PAD, AND OTHER DEBRIS. I WILL WEAR a good mask when scooping it out so i can see what the floors are.
THE COOD [part is the extra parts i got with the package deal.

HERE MOUNTED ON A 1964 CHASSIS THE 1962 BELAIR 4DRSDN WITH 1669 NOT 1569 IN THE VIN SO IT WAS A V-8. SINCE IT HAS CLUTCH/BRAKE PEDALS AND THE CORRECT O/D CABLE INTACT WE NOW KNOW IT WAS A 283 2BBL ENGINE. O/D WAS NOT OFFERED WITH 327 OR 409 ENGINES. IT HAS ACC CODES: EZ1 AND 33C RED PADDED DASH THE L&R VENT WINDOW GLASS ARE ORIGINAL E Z EYE BUT THE DOOR GLASS AND REAR WINDOW ARE ALL ORIGINAL LOF SOFT RAY. SO LOOKS LIKE IT WAS A SUPPLY CHAIN DECISION. PAINT WAS 970 ADOBE BEIGE/AUTUMN GOLD AND RED INTERIOR. WE HAVE A 409, A 327, OR A 283 TO PICK FROM. IT WILL USE THE 1964 O/D TRANNY SO THE 283 4 BBL ENGINE IS THE RIGHT CHOICE.
THE BODY SAT ON WOOD PALLETS IIN A HORSE PASTURE OUTSIDE BELLE FOURCHE SD FOR 25 YEARS. THE KID NEXT DOOR THREW ROCKS THRU THE WINDSHIELD DRIVERS SIDE AND ALSO SHATTERED THE DRIVERS DOOR GLASS SO HE DESTROYED 2 PIECES OF ORIGINAL TINTED CLASS. UNBELIEVABLE BUT THE FLOOR AND TRUNK PANS, ROCKERS, AND QUARTERS ARE RUST FREE!

I'd like to see a photo of that cowl tag if you get a chance to take a photo of it. I believe that ACC code 33C is the comfort and convenience option (inside day/night mirror, outside driver's door mirror, 2-speed wiper and washers, back-up lights, trunk light and glove box light) on Biscaynes and Belairs, but it's very rare and was a code only used on Janesville, Kansas City, St Louis and Van Nuys cars. Can you confirm that this car has or had these options?

well i did find a couple dozen old coins from the '60s in the bottom of the drivers door amongst broken glass and muck...mostly pennies but one quarter, one nickel, and 2 dimes. and of course the small metal plate that always pops off the back of the vent window regulator when peoples crank it way too far.

OK HERE THE COWL DATA TAG...THE BELAIR WAS USED AS A PARTS CAR FOR A CONVERT YEARS AGO SO MANY ITEMS PLUCKED...I CAN CONFIRM GLOVEBOX LIGHT, PARK BRAKE WARNING LIGHT WITH POWER STOLE FROM FUSE BOX ACCY TERMINAL, BACK-UP LIGHTS, DRIVERS DOOR MIRROR...WILL NEED TO LOOK AT TRUNK LID WIRING. THE TWO RED PADDED DASH PIECES WERE UNMOUNTED AND DISCARDED ON THE PASS SIDE FLOOR WHERE THEY AVOIDED THE SUNSHINE AND SNOW FOR 25 YEARS...THEY CLEANED UP AMAZING WELL! I ALSO GOT A 2-SPEED WIPER MOTOR IN A BUCKET BUT THE COVER WAS OFF ( JUST A PLATE, NON-WASHER!) AND SOME LINKAGES APPARENTLY WERE STOLEN TO FIX ANOTHER. SO NOW I HAVE 2 1/2 NON-FUNCTIONAL 2-SPEED WIPER/WASHER MOTORS BUT LOST MUCH OF MY EYESIGHT SO I CANNOT REPAIR THESE LIKE I USED TO BE ABLE TO DO.

Thanks for the photo, the car had the things that mean it must have had the comfort and convenience option factory fitted.
