I have been after this car for about 10 years. My buddy had it on his lift the entire time I’ve known him. Car has been off the road since the early 1970’s and came from Eastern Washington. I traded him my 50th Anniversary 1968 C10 and some dough. I have since moved to North Alabama so we had to ship both vehicles cross country which was a fiasco. Anyway, my plan is a stock(ish) looking car that handles and brakes well enough to drive in modern day conditions. People drive crazy around here. I got the car in August and have pulled the chassis and got a good jump there. Also did some work to the engine but, not finalized what I want to do there. Might go with an edelbrock set up as the carburetors I have are not correct anyway. I did the full ridetech suspension kit and wildwoods from street machinery. Went with coil overs. I have a p case 3.70 posi for the original rear so I will run that for now. Added the 4th upper arm and housing is at powder coater now. I recently bought the Borgeson box but hate the angle on it so I’m considering the Global West bump steer eliminator kit. I have 15x7 and 15x8 Wheel Vintiques Series 62. They’re off the shelf versions with 4.25 backspace. Hoping that will fit 275/60/15 in back and 235/60/15 up front. Transmission will be Tremec TKX. Color combo is up in the air. Maybe the original gold/gold, black with gold interior or black with red interior (over done but, damn it looks so good!)

Nice project. Nice air cleaner. ;)
Jim, your air cleaner is a nice product. This one is as still in the box. My buddy Tim bought it from you years ago. I’ve made some more progress. It’s a roller now. Parking brake is almost done. Most brake lines are ran. Fuel line is ran. Thinking of running edelbrock intake and carburetor with a high flow fuel pump. Is a return fuel line needed?

Went with the global west bump steer kit. The borgeson box angle was junk in my opinion. Mounting the rear sway bar was the hardest part. Thinking of taking the engine to Lamar Walden’s shop and having his son Rob go through it. I don’t know the history of the engine or who built it. Lamar Walden’s shop is only 3 hours from me. Next up is ordering the tremec.

Thinking of running headers. Any issue fitting full length? I’ll be running a hydraulic clutch so no bellcrank or linkage to get in the way.

Very nice project, looks like a super clean and solid Sport coupe. Not too many around.
