409 idler pulley

hi, can any body tell me with some degree of certinty what color the cast bracket should be for the idler pulley, this is the one that bolts onto the water pump. i have seen thm black and i have seen them chevy orange? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since the idler is called out in the assembly manual, it was installed on the car assembly line, not the engine assembly line. That would indicate to me that pulleys, brackets etc, would be either bare cast or painted black. Anything assembled at the engine plant,and shipped as part of the engine assembly, like the water pump, etc. would be engine color.
