409 Piston ID

I am starting another thread on my earlier post just regarding this Piston ID. I believe it may be a old ICON Piston but I can not find one like it. It has the Part # Letters SD then below that 2404 on the other side of the wristpin is says .060 . All I can find on ICON pistons currently made is that they are sized in .008 over bores. nothing in a straight .060 overbore . These pistons sat on a floor of the shop after the gentleman who owned motor passed away. Probably since 2006 -2010. I can save some of the pistons only half of them are bad. I may end up just going ahead and buying a complete assembly, I just want to figure this part number out for now. The piston does not have numbers under dome like Ross, it has the same lightening marks as other ICON pistons, it also is marked in same location as other ICON pistons. Crank is stock stroke 409, Rods are 6.135 BBC. If anyone can confirm what they are or has a set, let me know. Thanks, Harley

I'm still with Don (I think) on this one. The tops don't look like any Icons I have used, much more like Ross or some of the one-off Ross specials like Aubreys and others. You'd think they would be marked? Could they be TRWs or something from that era?

I don't know what they are, but I'm pretty sure they are not TRW.

I've never seen a TRW that looked like that.What is the ring thickness,1/16 or 3/16?

Ok, Mystery Solved!!! I contacted ICON, they are Special Order Pistons SO( not SD) Part # 2404, they were made for Lamar Walden in 2009 in Special .060 over Bore. Looks like Walden did the machine work on this motor and had custom pistons made for it . This Jives with what the guy I bought it from told me, that some big 409 builder built it.

Like I mentioned on facebook, the pistons you have look modern. Mine are about 20 years older design.
