My 62 SS had a rear pump, replaced it with one from what I thot was a 64 and it did not have a rear pump. Never tried a push start tho. Don does
have an encyclopeadic knowledge.

My 66 may have had the transmission replaced at some point as the 327 in it definitely was not the original engine, we discovered large journals when we overhauled it. I was missing the power glide kick down rod that comes off the carb when I got it and it took me a long search to find one.

We can still find some older stuff here in Texas but it's getting harder. All the old junkyards I used in the 80's are gone or carrying newer cars. I haven t tried finding anything for a 62-66 in years. Sad, history is passing by. Love those old cars.
