"Ancient Rat" in the Display Room!

I purchased these doors a while back from BSL409 as part of my basement 409 display. Thanks to Dick McKenzie, I acquired a photo of the original rat. Will have it blown up and framed to mount in between doors. Will be adding more 409 stuff as I find it.

Gonna be fun finding "stuff"

Ok, not a complete car like you, I'm proud it's a DNA thing.
I had my 1st engine, a flathead ford v-8 stuffed under my bed while rebuilding it, next a 62 409/409.

Then with good practice, I got married, had a 396/425HP stuffed in a closet, wife was not too happy until she brought home a baby bed!!! I said what's that for?

As I learned how much that was going to cost I had to SELL IT to pay the doctor bills.

I constantly remind my oldest son of that.

I had a nice HD engine on the coffee table for a while. Also, I used to bring the Road King in for detailing every winter. It really rattled the windows sometimes. Nice air freshener, that Harley exhaust smell.

Rebuilt a 348 in our dining room with the help of our six month old son Steve in 1966. Wife helped me carry it out to the garage when I was finished. No complaints.

Being a retired Firefighter I have many stories, this is a good one. We were called to a kitchen fire. The Engine company makes entry with the Rescue truck and the Ladder truck stands by. The fire is extinguished and contained to the kitchen with smoke damage to the house. We notice a motor cycle in the living room. The owner said he was told to boil out his Carburetor by his buddies. So he put his Carb in a pot of gas and put it on the stove. I wonder if his insurance covered it.

Dave, sometimes that's debatable, and I'm sure she feels the same way sometimes, but so far it's lasted almost 54 years, plus a little over 3 years of dating time.
