Hey Guys, I came across 2 flywheels the other day and I cant find what they fit.:dunno

One is stamped 3792004 and shows no heat cracks but could be resurfaced. I think it is 409 but am not sure.:? It may have come from my '63 "QB motor that was in my turquoise Impala in my album but I can't remember.

One is stamped 3988785 and also shows no heat cracks and could be resurfaced.:? It is not in my possession at this time but I am waiting for more stamping #s. My latest info on this one is that it is also stamped K 11 61. Don't know if that helps any.:dunno

They both look to be for 11" or 11 1/2" clutches and the ring gears look to be not damaged at all.

I need to know what they fit so I can put them on "FEE-BAY"

I would appreciate any help. Thanks guys :pray:cheers

Butch:
The 004 is the standard 10 1/2" flywheel from 58 to 63 small block & 409. Don't know what the other one is but can look it up at the shop tomorrow for you. Do either have date codes on the back??????

Can't find 3988785....3988789 is 66-69 427 and 1981 Z28 305!!! The part numbers and casting numbers are not the same so can't really tell on this one because the later parts books did not list the casting number too. The part number on the 004 flywheel is 3739423. This doesn't mean anything to us as we memorize the casting numbers so if we find that number....we know what it is.

Hi Phil, 1st off how are you doin?:bow I looked in my July '68 Chevrolet parts book today and discovered that the '63 Impala Sport Coupe Z-11 Flywheel # 0.666=3837468 is stamped 3792004 !! :eek:The other flywheel # has eluded me so far. I have some discontinued and changed part #'s books I have to go through to see if that # was changed to something else.:cheers

Hi again Phil. The 785 flywheel is also stamped K-11-61. Could that mean November 11 1961 production date ?:scratch

yep...........Nov. 11, 1961. It might be another GM use. Most Chevy's used 37 and 38 numbers.

Phil, I have parts price books that list all 5 lines of GM parts #s and their prices from 1978 to 1988 and can not come up with 3988785 for any GM car line, Buick=Olds=Pontiac=Chevrolet & GMC.
