idler arm

I'm restoring a 61 that I purchased in baskets. I replaced all the suspension, steering etc, but I decided to use one of the 2 idler arms that were with the car. One was attached to a power system rack and the other manuel, Both
idler arms where identical and the part that attaches to the frame is offset between the 2 holes and does not fit flush against the frame. Its a boxed frame, I've looked at the maintenance manual and new parts on line and the part that attaches to the frame frame is straight??????? I'm pretty sure one of the arms came off this car, am I missing something. Thanks AZ409

i bought a replacement idler, it was offset like yours but it came with a spacer.

Thanks Goat Boy, was the spacer anythng special or was it just a fat washer? I may have it ,but may not recognize it. Thanks AZ409

i don't know the size offhand, but it was basically a thick washer. later today i will go out back and get a measurment.

1/2" thick, 7/8" round, goes on bottom bolt between frame and idler
