Hey guys, excited to be a part of the W motor/car family. Recently acquired a 62' impala SS 409 4 speed.
I'm a knuckle buster from the power sports industry of 35+ years. Been passionate about cars since I was 4
or 5...yep, I remember and my family reminds me periodically. Born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, I was in the right place...hot rods, classics and motorcycles everywhere! Came out to the pacific northwest with my family a while back and loved it ever since. Back to the 409...seemed kind of "soft" on my drive home. "just had my guy tune the carbs" he says. He was good alright, good at washing the .060" over cylinders down! Now what, I thought to myself? Enter now google to discover, none other than Mr. Jack Gibbs of 409 performance. With a couple motors "in the works" I seem to be off to a good start with some neat cars, a great bunch of guys and only the sky as the limit...for now anyway?
