Starting the rebuild on the 690 heads, what should be done?

Question: What will fit 690's from the high performance big blocks 396, 427, and 454? I know the rockers will fit with 7/16 studs. How about pushrod guide plates, springs, retainers, valves? Just curious, because Chevrolet makes some great HP parts. Thanks....

In a word no.There are more small block parts that work than big block stuff.but the valve train is pretty much w engine specific. While some of the valves will fit,the lengths are different which creates valve train geometry issues,guide plates,not even close.
