Garage is an absolute mess right now. I am sorting stuff out and getting rid of some things. The ‘69 K5 Blazer I restored ( and sold this year on BaT) is the last full restoration my body can take. Much as I hate it, I am going to have to just be a tinkerer. I’ve done a lot of work in this garage over the last 17 years.982DEF99-0E62-4E82-9941-DD654084A896.jpeg776B5973-2964-423F-9E10-825893B42B0F.jpeg71E56BD3-095E-4055-8339-286F15108176.jpeg

I put a 15” leather wrapped wheel that looks like the original (original not wrapped of course). Very comfortable. Takes more effort to turn when stopped but much easier to get in under the stock wheel in a C1. I weigh 150 lbs and am 5’10”. I can’t imagine someone big with a belly getting into a c1 especially with a hardtop or convertible top up. There are ways of putting electric power steering on them without buying a $1500 kit. Phil, the Corvette forum I has lots of info if you haven’t found it yet.

Have some great news, good news and bad news!!!!!!
Great news.....finally got the hardtop off!!!! Didn't have proper tools .......found a pair of pliers that were just the right size to get the back 2 fasteners off!!!! Top came right off!!!!! It looks so much better now!!!!!!
Good news.....got 4 rims coming ....be here by the first of next week.
Bad news....Coker is out of the 1" classic white wall tire until the end of Oct. or first of Nov.!@!!! Guess that will be a winter project. Got to get a spare since the car didn't have one.

Make sure the spare you get will fit in the well and the plywood cover will fit over it. If you are running tires lager than the 6.70 15 bias that came with the car (I think that’s the original size) , you couldn’t put it on the back due to Posi. I have 15 x 6 steel wheels with larger Coker radials that look like bias and they are tall. I’ll try and look up what radial tire size on an original 15 x5 wheel will fit in the well.EEC9BC0E-5439-4127-905E-D5D71D6628F7.jpeg
