Winters manifold crankcase venting

Hi guys. What are y’all doing about crankcase venting with the Winters Dual Quad intake? Are you plugging the crankcase vent hole at the rear of the manifold or using it in a road/draft tube set up?

I use a grommet and a PCV valve to rear carb with a vented oil fill cap.

Perfect thanks Scott. That seems simple enough. Where do you find a grommet that’s size to accommodate the PCV?

I don’t remember exactly what I used. It might have been a Chrysler valve cover grommet. Make sure the baffle is on the bottom of the intake or it’ll suck lots of oil.

Same part fits the early 283 and 327's On them it attaches to the breather hole in the block instead of the manifold.

I have used this on a couple of engines and they work great and getting a little hard to find on the used market i an glad to see that someone is offering then as a repop

You could just chuck up a piece of aluminum in the lathe and make a pcv adapter for the rear of the intake.

Her was my solution. Used a CV726c AC PCV valve. Including a drawing as well.

On a small block, the fitting was used in conjunction with an oil separator in the lifter gallery area. Same in a w ? Looked like a little tin can.

The small block passage went thru the block and not the intake manifold,thats why it needed the oil separator.The w went thru the intake which had the baffle on the bottom to act as an oil separator.
