Funny you should say that. My wife came out to the garage last night and asked when I last ate. Well, it was the day before at lunch. Needless to say, she made me come in and eat dinner

After cleaning the underside what color did you end up painting.I saw the photo from you photo bucket library.
Greg

Well, the body is on the rotisserie now. I needed it to replace some sheet metal that was rusted through.
I should have it all finshed by the end of the weekend.
Once the sheet metal is replaced, I will power wash the under side, remove what little undercoating was on the under body and then Red Oxide it.

Air ride Suspension came in today, so I may take a break from the body here and there to install it on the freshly powder coated frame.

Oh And By The Way

Mr. Thompson, How bout you remove the gas tank next time before you start firing sparks around with that cutter. :takethat:takethatRemind me to tell you the story of cutting the rear end out of a car with the gas gas tank still installed. FIRING being the main word here!!!

And you call me :crazy

Does the underside need to be totally striped to apply the Lizard Skin?? or can there be some residue ??
Would you recommend their spray gun ??
I think I know what your going to say!!!

Some residue should be OK, but you want to make sure it will adhere to whatever you are puting it over and that the residu will not flake off later.

Brian great work! Looks really nice I know where to drop my '64 off when I go to Dallas next:) Man you work fast! All of my projects end up being long term-shoot the block for the 470 W I've had since 73!Talk about long term.

While you all were at Thompson us Texas Pontiac guys were in Mesquite and Crandall sweating in the 100 degree stuff!

Now that the Pontiac deal is over back to finishing the 409/470! Oh and getting the 500 Pontiac in that Camaro with a cage to be installed also:)

Hey Brian,
You've got Jerry's car looking great!!
Kinda funny though...I will take a week off work
on occasion to work on my car, but you take a
week off from working on your car.
Maybe that has something to do with how you
have managed to build your '62, then rebuild it,
and then do another complete frame-off on Jerry's
car in the time it has taken me to do my '61.:dunno:dunno:roll:roll
I hope to see Jerry's car in person before you send it away.
When is he hoping to take delivery?
Danny

Thanks Danny! Once it is completed, I do plan to drive it around for a while before Jerry picks it up. Just want to work out any bugs it may have before he takes it home. If yours is ready, maybe we could meet and do a cruise to Kellers or something.
