    narrowed frame

Thanks alot for your input and pics. Exactly what I was thinking. The only problem is the driveshaft loop that probably will interfere with the rear seat becouse it´s a street/strip car. What do you guys think of remove the body mounts over the rear axle?

    narrowed frame

How did this end up? I´m right in it for my 61 impala. Thinking of cut the kickup right above the axle and make the new tube straight back wich would allow 14" rims.

    Body Mounts

Yeah, when I look att the frame now with the big spring in place it looks very tight to fit the exhaust. I belive the coilovers is just positive. Start cuting out the rusty parts tomorrow and weld in new. I will also full weld the frame frame seam. Blasted... Find a hard beated frame. This was...

    Body Mounts

I´ve start reading it a couple of months ago but read it again now. Is BSL409 using the anti roll bar instead of the panhard bar?? Or is it to reduce the horizontal moving? Is it possible to fit 2,5" exhaust over the rear or do you run the outlet infront of the rear whell?

    Body Mounts

Thanks for the advise about moving it furher back, Today the car sits on 11.5" rims and 295/60-15 tires but I want that prostreet look!!! Will be a oem resto with LSX engine 4L80E/TH400 most street use but will try the local track sometimes:). I have a lot of work infront of me cus the frame is...

    Body Mounts

Ok. I belive I will weld in a crossmember bar between the framerails. I don´t think it will be a big loss if I move the bodymounts inwards over the rear axle to let me remove the spring pockets that will accept wider tires!! Are you using the oem 3 link or have you fab something on your own? I...

    Body Mounts

Hi, don´t wanna start a new thread, instead I will ask about the body mounts here. I have a 61 ht under resto and I thinking of remove the rear springs and upper mounting plate and go with coilovers inside the frame rails but that will also remove the CC body mounts pictured above. Will it...

    Caltracs leaf springs

The body is garage painted by the pre owner and looks way better then it is. Quarter rockers are full of PP100 bodyfiller and small dents all over the body, but the winter is long here in Sweden so just start to sanding:wax.. Anyone know the quality of the re popped quarter panels out there?

    Caltracs leaf springs

I think one piece driveshaft is the only way to go with over 500 RWHP. But not a problem..

    Caltracs leaf springs

Thanks for you input, It´s most for the look, I ran with 10.5 on my last camaro with good results. Ladder bars are not ok on the street here in Sweden so it will be 3 or 4 link with either coilovers or varishock air-springs. I know it´s alot of work to narrow and I don´t want to interfere the...

    Caltracs leaf springs

Yeah, but you don´t run the xframe, your luck so there´s no kit for 1958-64 chevy and no good install spots..

    Caltracs leaf springs

Hi, I have started my "pro street" build of my 61´ two door impala and trying to sort out what kind of rear end I will use and what kind of suspension. I will ty to narrow the rear frame to fit big tyres and change to a 9". I have been thinking of calvertracings mono leafs and caltracs but...
