    My 58 Impala project

Really? That's cool. I'll have to try it. Now does it just have to be in the car or does it have to touch the carpets?

    My 58 Impala project

For now, the paint is well enough to leave alone. The interior is really good condition. Just has that 35 year old musty smell. Need about 10 of the pine trees air fresheners inside. Charlie

    New Cam

I also saw the video Thumper has running three different cams in the same 350 engine. It give a side by side comparison of the sounds of the different cams. Charlie

    New Cam

I'm at the point where I need to start thinking about a cam. I have a semi stock 348, 3x2 intake, 11.25:1 compression. I need to buy a cam for it because when I got the motor, there wasn't a cam with it. What isn't stock about the motor is the set of 409 heads, but they are LP heads. I want a...

    Impala electrical parts

I found a company called EZWiring. I was at a shop today and the guy there said he orders from them all the time. Excellent quality. I saw one of the harnesses right out of the box. Looks really straight forward and easy to install.

    John Carollo's publications???

Thanks. I have found out in a short time that this is one of the best sites for what I'm looking for. You are right. There is enough material to keep me busy reading for a long time.

    John Carollo's publications???

Yea and even a shop manual can throw you off. About a hundred years ago I rebuilt my first 350. Everything was fine until it came to setting the valves. No compression doing it the manual way. I have found that talking to people who have done it is the best way. Thanks.

    John Carollo's publications???

Has anyone read or used any of John Carollo's books? Specifically How to rebuild and modify 348/409 engines. I have come across two different topics in the book that have proved to be false. Because I have never had the pleasure of rebuilding a 348 engine before now, any and all research I do I...

    My 58 Impala project

Thanks Don. I am am very happy with it's condition. I haven't found a single spot of rust anywhere on it. Floor and trunk pans look very good. All the usual rust spots are solid. Just dry rotted rubber.

    Impala electrical parts

Does anyone know of a good supplier of electrical parts for old cars. I have a 58 Impala that is in need. Headlight plugs, connectors, stuff like that. I really don't want to spend $100 on a pre built wiring harness when only one little plug in the harness is broke. Thanks for any help.

    My 58 Impala project

Looks good enough to drive, but because it has sat for 30+ years every piece of rubber in the car is dry rotted. That includes the wheel cylinders, so no brakes. Front end bushings are mostly in bad shape. That's the fun of building them back.
