348 to TH400 Flex plate confirmation

Hi members, Could I have confirmation that all Small Block chev motor flexplates that are 168 teeth and suited to the TH400 will fit into my 348 motor? For example would a 283 flexplate fit?

Lower Control Arms - Grease Zert

I milled 6mm (0.236") off the knuckle mounting faces then had to file/sand the CPP 2" drop spindle inside web for clearance. In the end I was able to pass a thin feeler gauge between the knuckle and spindle ensuring there was no contact. Polished out the scores and painted. You could try...

Lower Control Arms - Grease Zert

Been awhile since I have had a chance to get on the car. I had to modify my knuckle arms to fit on the drop spindles and ridetech control arms. Now with the zerks fitted I have lock to lock clearance no matter what the ride height.

Fuel Prime (boost) pump mounting. 59 Belair.

Intending to install a fuel prime pump near my fuel tank on the 59 Belair. Ive been recommended to use a Holley Blue @ 6lb for the 2 x 4 barrel on the 427. Has anyone any photos to share of an installation for ideas?

Lower Control Arms - Grease Zert

Uncanny. Have just yesterday ran into the same problem assembling the Ride Tech lower control arms with CPP drop spindles. As suggested buy blkblk63ss I will install a low profile grease zerk.

Hi Mark, is there much difference in fit and clearance between a Belair 4dr and Convertible? Regarding the clearances you mentioned before my car is an auto and have read post of owners using a smaller starter. Otherwise its the fwd bolt on the L/H upper control arm that is an issue. Apart from...

Awesome ride. What was the issue with the 2" drop spindles? I too have brought the Ridetech airbag front end for my 59 Belair and CPP drop spindles and about to fit.

    Wilson Header Mfg.

Hi Simon, yes includes frame, fuel/brake lines, steering etc. 10mm equates to 0.394" but as Mark pointed out it seems that there are several places that would be a bit close. I would prefer not to dent the headers to meet the clearance so I am going to go back to the drawing board on this one.

    Wilson Header Mfg.

Hi Mark and fellow members. How has the development of the 348 headers gone and their fitment for the 59 Belair? In Australia we have a 10mm (approx. 1/2 inch) clearance requirement between the exhaust and any other part of the vehicle. Does the Wilson Header accomplish this?
