Temp Gauge and Sender 59 Belair

No I haven't. I'm still riding the GSX1400 but haven't done a big trip in years. That photo was during a ride from Perth to Melbourne across the Nullarbor to watch the super bikes at Phillip Island.

Temp Gauge and Sender 59 Belair

Thanks for your replies. I figured the temp gauge (its a moving needle not an idiot light) wouldn't be different on the chevs with v8 or 6. I'll have to take the sender out and test but I think I've got a bad sender. Can anyone provide a P/No for me or confirm AC Delco G1852 is the correct sender.

Temp Gauge and Sender 59 Belair

Hi All, I wish to confirm if the temp gauge in a 6 cylinder 59 belair is same or different to a 348 59 belair? Reason being that I have replaced the 6 cylinder with a 348 and the temperature gauge is over reading by a massive margin. Have tried two gauges with the same result. New sender...

Mini Starter stagger bolt - 3rd bolt?

Yes they do. They came with the starter. My alignment and teeth meshing clearances are spot on. No shims required.

Mini Starter stagger bolt - 3rd bolt?

No. In the picture you will see the outboard bolt and very fwd bolt installed. To install the third bolt I would have to elongate the rear second hole from crank about 1/2 a hole in the aluminium adapter

Mini Starter stagger bolt - 3rd bolt?

Hi, Just after confirmation that I don't need to install a third bolt on my Powermaster mini starter staggered adapter? If required, I would have to elongate the hole in the adapter so as the third bolt would align with engine block threaded hole. See picture attached. 348 with TH400.

    Turbo 400 dip stick - 348 install. 59 Belair.

Thanks. I'll go with the flex dipstick.

    Turbo 400 dip stick - 348 install. 59 Belair.

Hi Crew, I am after a TH400 dipstick (and tube) assy that bolts to the bell housing but will clear the R/H side head and headers of my Ozzie 59 Belair. As my car is R/H drive it will need to be a short tube with the cap just behind rear header. Otherwise it will interfer with steering and...

    348 dip stick.

Can anyone recommend an aftermarket dip stick (will probably need to be flexible outer guide) for a 348 (409 pan fitted - dipstick on passengers' side for an American car). I have custom headers installed and find it a tight squeeze. The 59 Belair is a right-hand drive. Thanks, Simon.

    Stroked 348 engine twist.

Car has been made up from three 59s all of which are from Vic. I moved over Perth 15 yrs ago starting up on the project about 5 yrs. Been a slow grind but it's getting there slowly. I've got an engineer lined up for the extra HP and have had to install a few mods.
