The pulley you see under the AC pump is part of the belt tensioner assembly. Its no different then what keep the belts tight on the majority of cars on the road today.

That pretty much sums it up. These are both mine, equally nice cars, both for sale but I don't expect as much out of the stocker as I do the custom car.
