MoKan had its issues, my alternator took a dump and I developed an intermittent miss. Not a dead miss but a mincing one. Time to go through the Ignition. My buddy Ralph had a great weekend!!! Personal best of 10.27 and 10.30's all weekend. Some day I'll chase him down! my only pass, I could of made more but didn't want to hurt the motor. Duck hunting isn't on my bucked list. Was missing just before the shift point. Oh well I still had a great weekend. And got the decals put on White Lightning...:goodThanks Leadfoot, Jeff, and Tom O...Screenshot_20240324_122640_Facebook.jpg20240324_191946.jpgResized_Screenshot_20231123_085035_Facebook_787039642818777_1711303707748.jpegFB_IMG_1711302014393.jpg20240323_161006.jpg

Car looks great with the new lettering! MSD ignitions draw a lot out of a battery plus we have electric water pumps, fuel pumps, line locks, trans brakes, and such! I solved my battery problems with an XS 16 volt battery, XS charger and a mini 16V alt. Thanks, Dave Coots!! JMO

Found the gremlin in White Lightning, the distributor hold down had loosened up a little and I only had 29° total timing. I squeezed the hold down and it fits better and has 37° total timing in it again. :doh it's much happier now. I now have a backup alternator and the original is getting repaired. Time to hit the track again. It was definitely a slug. Now it's happy again...:D20240330_174643.jpgScreenshot_20240330_185050_Gallery.jpg

Here are two videos that a friend sent to me, never use a horn button for a trans brake. it was my shooting ducks issue. White lightning is nosing over in high gear now and I am sure it is a fuel delivery issue. I might have a plug the filter or low float levels.. I have a fuel pressure gauge to mount on the Cowl, last year, and Iowa it ran a 11.74 @ 118 shutting it off early, yesterday I ran a 1146 @111 and it kept nosing over in high gear. i’m sure it will be in the 10,s very soon. My 60 foot times are now in the low 150. And honestly, the track was not that good.

I don’t see why you can’t still use your horn button to activate the trans brake. Instead of running it directly use it to activate a relay to give the trans brake a clean signal.
