Started taking the 068 QA block apart and looks to be a nice low mileage engine still had the two metal head gaskets, bet I can just getaway with a new set rings

I bet this engine has less then 20K or less there is like no wear on the balancer or the pistons

Brian, That's the best looking core I've every seen. I agree it is extremely low milage especially if you have not cleaned the ring grooves. The grooves always have carbon buildup and those look clean. Congrats on the find.

Nice! Looks as clean as a truck block I took apart two years ago. I think it had about 20,000 miles on it.

Congrats on the 068 build. My QB 068 engine wasn't quite as good as it was already .030 over. And it needed two sleeves due to pitting. That's why it's at Day Automotive as we speak .

Good luck on that rebuild, we know it will look good and run better!

The block is all clean and ready for some new rings and a new Comp #0954 cam from show cars
