2x4 edelbrock adjustment

I know how to adjust a single edelbrock carb…..
Screw in each A/F s crew until it shudders, open until it shudders then find the smooth spot, but with 2 carbs I’m not finding the spot’s because the other carb is working….

This is the only 2x4 I have had…..Ronnie had it set up but now it running a little rich.

How do y’all adjust?

Disconnect the linkage between both carbs. Set your desired idle using both carbs keeping the adjustments the same. Then move to idle screws. Again, keep adjustments the same finding a smooth idle. Do one carb, then do the other. Go back and forth a few times between both carbs to verify your adjustments. Recheck your idle speed. Do this with engine fully warm. Then take all 4 idle adjustments and back them out just a hair. That’s how I have set mine forever with multiple carbs. Then re attech the linkage between both carbs ensuring the throttle plates do not get opened up. If your idle changes after attaching both carbs together, adjust your linkage between them as to not alter the idle. Job complete!
