That is a neat truck Tooth!! Are you going to do anything different with the gas tank, for safety and a little extra leg room maybe. Love the dial headlights.

yes Barry, the fuel tank will be underneath the back of the truck where the spare tire area is. It already has a electric fuel pump and filter on it. I would like to go with at least a 16 gallon. And an access into the bed.

OK so wristpin saw some pictures of my wood hauling truck and ask for more, since I’m building a shop truck I figured this would be a good place put them...
It had a 468 bbc with 7.5-1 blower pistons. Dart 360 heads, Jessel belt drive, solid lift roller .750 lift. And Enderly bug catcher injector. Enderly 80A belt driven pump. 9 inch Moser rear end with Koni coil overs, I built a custom set of headers that went over the frame for 4” exhaust. I started the building down at Jame’s shop and he helped me on Wednesday nights which was the build night at THE SHOP!!! Remember those nights James? :wacko:crazy i’ve done all the bodywork on the truck except for part of the roof. It was a wavy crazy son of a gun. But the rest of it I’ve done myself. Blocked it for a month just about every night. Took it to Maco across the street from James and they painted it for less than $400. It was crazy straight! And they said one of the better paint jobs that ever came out of the shop. Of course they have the best tools and equipment in the whole town and paint more cars than anybody. That’s why I used them With the stipulation that they paint the bed and the Cowell for the wipers separate. I’ve done all the jamming myself and then they back taped it. Turned out pretty nice. I remember when we done the start up the cops came and knocked on the door and James let them in MY SHOP:confused815D34DA-91A0-468E-A5EB-32D75DFA44C6.jpeg8575FE76-62D2-4B6E-980C-9FF2D00ED3DD.jpegEBC6987A-142C-445A-BB01-12E630DC0367.jpegEDF4EFE8-D211-4670-8405-92CFA7EA006A.jpeg655F0B34-CD3B-472C-B842-3CADBBCAA23A.jpeg9A9B1D40-B7B4-4D7B-97E0-E06138D82661.jpeg96856A13-3D4F-496F-B5AD-0D5BBB3AB2F7.jpegCD2CDC5F-4BB9-4693-A7FC-62D1362F34DD.jpeg but here are some of the pics that you asked for wristpin...

More pics... when I done the start up on James and another guy named Jeff came over to my shop. When we done the start up we had a hard time getting it to pick you up from the tank with a pump due to the plate on the pump being set for cam or direct drive instead of belt drive. So when we flipped a plate it started running down a problem that I didn’t know what the time was that Jeff had put so much fuel in it that it hydraulic one and two cylinders and slightly bent the rods 1&2:doh however it didn’t show up for a long long time until one day I was running it in my neighbor come over because he can feel and hear it two blocks away. He’s the one I bought the convertible GS Buick. Anyway we were horsing around I managed to hit about 7300 RPM and that’s when one of the rods broke. So I had Fresh 454 for sitting in the corner with a solid lifter cam that was a copy of an LS seven GEN four. I put it in the truck and left at 400 turbo with the reverse manual valve body in it in the truck and man was it fun to drive on the street. Later sold it to a friend Raymon Lewis which is a dear friend of Jameses too. He said there was no way he would ever sleep at night thinking about that truck unless I sold it to him. It was about a three-year project and I sold it and finished my convertible and bought a 70 Camaro with 64,000 miles on it. James helped me so much and built a transmission and was one of the reasons why I kept interest in it. But let’s face it, 1400 hp on gas on the street is not very drivable and it proved to be that way but was way too much fun learning how to tune it.:juggle, Besides shaking all the windows in the neighborhood :hide83E05057-890C-4766-BA2F-64C99787E9BB.jpeg278D9636-5C3B-44A5-9F0C-146BA1C6FF76.jpeg4B8FF617-6CAB-4AA0-91E6-E3E25D8280DD.jpegFEB0B72E-C850-4CBA-8FD0-17275E5221D7.jpegF008AC75-1C7E-407A-A787-636FF15F4AC1.jpegF3E8B05C-DE6E-4729-A438-879A3F042897.jpeg29C5E5F6-51EA-42DD-9655-FAE08BDF9836.jpeg

It’s not a patch it’s a competition engineering sump that’s welded to the bottom of the tank. This allows for a pick up at the back and bottom of the tank. Leaving my trunk open. Just like a fuel cell only I can use my factory fuel sending unit and gauge. You can see in these pics the sump going to the Holley blue pump and filter. Has another fitting on the other side of the sump for an additional fuel system for nitrous!:D20190618_170719.jpg20180915_072912.jpg20180405_181101.jpg
