Grub, the engine was my first stroker, originally built to use as a street cruiser. 9;1 c.r. mild solid lifter, f/t cam. G.M. single 4 bbl intake with 750 Holley. It ran 5.60s in the 1/8......... I don't remember what the 1/4 time was.
from the NHRA conversion table a 5.65 1/8 pass converts to an 8.81 1/4 mile pass.
Thanks, Tom, but there is no way that car would run 8.80s. I will check with Barry , maybe my memory is incorrect about the 5.65,,,, I don't think so but it is possible.
My RED with a hot street 509 inch big block ran a best 1/8 mile of a 5.18 at 120
