What doesn't make any sense is that you say you have fuel and spark, the only other component needed is oxygen for the motor too run.

Check and make sure the butterflies are opening on the carbs.

1958 black impala as yours was my favorite most wanted car when they came out as a teenager. Loved the roofline and the quarters. The bel airs just didn't have that look.

I just wanted a classic car that you don't see a ton of on the streets. Tonight, I will be removing the ignition switch, it's the only thing left to check and it appears to pop when the key is being turned back to off.

I was wondering on the switch being defective since you said it had spark at plugs cranking ???? But maybe it's intermittent???

That is another way of installing a oil pressure gauge . Others say that is not the best source,it should be t'd at pressure port by oil filter to get best highest pressure reading.

After I installed the new ignition switch tonight, she fired right up!!! Boy was I happy!! I was running out of ideas! Lol

That’s great. Have you ever had a chance to take her out to see what she will do. You thought the ignition was bad all the time. I’m glad she is running for you.

Yes I have had her out many times since I have had the car (6 months or so) I have been dealing with to much fuel, I think its getting to much fuel to the the duel carbs being jetted to big. It goes in next Wednesday to get the carbs rebuilt and dyno tuned again. There was a bunch of debris in the carbs last time so I installed a new tank and blew out the fuel lines and installed in line filter, so I am hoping they can dial it in now that it has clean and fresh fuel and new plugs.
