Very nice tooth…… yes you did you did nail it……!!!!Picked up yesterday, hole today. Off to Springfield for paint tomorrow. Fitment is superb. Not sure yet. I have a ton of stainless with nylock nuts.
Super sexy but we all want to know what color combo are you going with? I love how you matched the carbs color to the car. 
Huge fan of purple here so maybe all white with some purple stickers on the side of the scoop that look similar to the purple down the side? If you don't like it then you can pull the stickers, just an idea.

Made a quick trip to Springfield this morning. The hood for White Lightning looks fantastic. Thanks Rod, the fish fry was awsome too. The Royal Bros 62 Bubble Top is getting paint! Looking good Russ, I'm sure Barry will love what you are doing with it. Here's a few random pics of Rods shop. Donnie Shaffer left his mark with this hand made aluminum fender...

My tape and measuring stick worked well, one pin left where the blue dot is in the last pic. A couple of fine adjustments and it will be done. I tig welded my collectors too. Getting hardware for the plates tomorrow. I painted the collectors with high temp header paint, the collectors are 10” long. I also intend on turn outs for the collectors too. I will order a 180* mandral bent tube to use.
For sure! Sometimes you just do it when it feels good or it needs to be done.

Little more progress tonight. I need to make a template to locate the holes for the hood trim, came in a genuine GM restoration parts certified box. I also need to put the hardware in the plates for the hood pins. I will order some mandrel bend turnouts for the collectors... Might fire it up Wed or Thursday to check the Trans brake... Soon its off to Bill Bierman' s for new updated lettering " Coots"...
