This is an automatic, but I wonder if there were 3 on the tree across the pond. The linkage would be allot more difficult unless the transmissions had the shifter fork levers on the right.

Not too weird. It's shown in quite detail in the 1962 assembly manual. And if I recall the 3 speed manual Rube Goldberg linkage is also shown.

All right hand drive 61 & 62 Chevys had Pontiac dashes.
I have a friend who converted his 61 Chevy Impala wagon to right hand drive.
he purchased the right hand drive Pontiac dash from a guy in Australia.

Yes pvs409 you are correct . This is what was used back then, in the RHD cars.

I had the pleasure of making a trip to Australia in 2002 They had an American car show in Melbourne and I got to see all sorts of RHD Aussie versions of US cars. I think I know the gentleman who owns the RHD 62. It was under restoration then. Got to ride in a propane powered rhd 1980 Cadillac. Propane power is quite popular in Australia with it being available at most gas stations.
