Dropped off the 64 at the paint shop today for a complete facelift. Not sure the cost but I'm sure the pocket book will be a lot lighter. Pictures will be posted.

Need a drivers hood hinge. This for my 1964.
My pocket book sure got lighter when my 64 was painted. I had to cut out the wife's beer for several weeks.
The things you uncover!
The car had a body off in the past so I'm not planing on that. I will take off the front end, doors, glass, hood, interior,trunk and blast off all of the paint so we can see what kind of metal we have.
It's a factory white with red interior so thats what I'm going back with.
Images are too small. Can't really see any detail. Are you happy with the quality of the panels ?
Do they all fit good & look original ?
Does the trunk well have the metal plate that runs side to side for support ?

I made them a little bigger. The truck tub does have the metal plate. I thought the fit was good. I plan on taken more pics tomorrow.

We just about got it ready to blast. At some point the drivers side quarter panel has been replace prior to the car being painted the last time which I think was about 25 years ago by the previous owner. That same quarter has a patch panel. Who knows!
I think I have located both fenders and doors.
I went to a relic yard today looking for the fenders and doors the 64. The guy did not have anything, but he did have a several chevelles, 59-62 el caminos and and lots of 57 chevy stuff. One chevelle ss was a numbers 454 car would make a great project. I take some pics the next time I go back.
