In the article it stated that Hayden would wrap the fuel line and pump in Aluminum to reflect the heat away from the fuel. Cooler fuel meant a denser intake charge and more power. He also employed the ubiquitous wooden cloths pins to draw heat out of the fuel lines by the carburetors! All the old tricks are the best!

I talked to Ed personally at dragway 42 in Russes trailer, he was ecstatic and loved the car that Russ put back together. His running buddy even told a bunch of stories on Ed involving Dyno Don and road trips to Florida that were priceless. We ask him how accurate the car was and as far as he can remember it was spot on. Pretty cool to have a thumbs up from the original owner of the car. Too bad the driver couldn’t make it that weekend.



Not sure if anyone has seen this.............Wally taking it out for the first time since 1964..............priceless!!
