What are the difference between the high HP 327 exhaust and the 340hp 409 besides the flange? Both were dual exhaust weren't they?

The pipes are interchangeable.

Several years ago I ordered a 300hp 327 exhaust system for a 62 Impala through Ecklers. The right exhaust pipe did not fit, like it was about 2" short. They contacted Schafers while was on the phone and after some discussion they sent out a new one, same problem. Had a NORS 348 hipo exhaust pipe that I had picked up at a swap meet and it fit perfectly. Yes I had a heat riser valve installed. I think they would have that problem solved by now.
