Hydraulic clutch master cylinder location

Well, it seems as though I'm getting around to my auto trans to Muncie conversion for my 61 Biscayne.

I'm playing around with the idea of going hydraulic clutch with an external slave primarily because I don't have a parts car with a manual trans for all of the clutch linkage. Although, I do have an original 1961 brake/clutch pedal assembly I found locally.

Question is, has anyone installed a clutch master cylinder, and if so, where exactly on the firewall was is placed? Any pics? Just wondering how it's going to work out with the brake booster and brake master potentially being in the way....

Here's some photos from yesterday's work.........hydraulic line hook up to external slave cylinder.

Pretty basic stuff......instead of a mechanical Z bar and push rod.......hydraulics are doing the heavy lifting.

I like what Monk did in his 55.
