I have been putting thought into this carport deal.
What your thought about putting some kind of insulation under the roof metal to help combat the radiant heat?
One of my buddy's suggested spray foam, not sure I want that expense.
Have been looking at some of the foil backed bubble stuff.
Am I overthinking this being it's just a car port?
Any experience that you people have had?

Thanks James.

Any insulation is better than none, for heat and noise dampening when raining. The foil covered bubble wrap should do ok. Unless your going to enclose and spray foam the walls also, my guess is the cost would out way the benefits.

It won't be enclosed, I will close the west wall though.
I had to cut down all my shade trees to get to where I am now.

Lots of new flat spaces, not just the one where the building gets erected :).

I looked at my used fencing pile, it had some 4x4 posts as well as a number of 2x4x8' treated pine boards. Think there might be enough 1x6 slats to go maybe 50-60 feet?

Cheers! TomK
