I asked Tony Shaffer to sign the valve cover. This is very special to me plus it’s one of his last builds from start to finish at the shop.

Did Tony build Donnie’s motors too…?????……(Obsolete missle)….. I believe Day Automotive was on the car……I should look first before asking …….I see that the whole fender is covered with “engine by Day Automotive”

Yep he did work some magic on those W builds. I suspect Tony was deeply involved with his brother's race car engines .

I was lucky to have the fitted block on my SS car done by Tony about 2 years ago. Wish I had him do the top end, had lots of problems there (done locally). Bottom end was perfect, top end leaked in a number of locations, including head bolts and the screw in studs .

Yes Tony at Day Automotive did build his brother‘s engine

Two months have past and finally I see my 409 with my own eyes and can actually touch it. I had asked Phil to help me find an correct dated block and heads for my 63 SS build this dates back to 2011. 11 years later we finally have it done.
