I lucked in, i was looking for spider gears for the rearend of my son's 62 front engine dragster--put an ad on the hamb website and a fellow 30 miles north of me had them Went to pick them up and found Faded Memories sitting there in the trailer Dave Campbell(he built faded memories) used to haul the car since buying the trailer in 94.The gentleman bought it and was a long time drag racer but was getting up in years, took it to Lapeer Dragway and it scared the hell out of him , so he was going to change it into a street car. He took off some of the lettering, added a bunch of things i ended up taking off --i feel that we bought the car and saved it-We try to keep it as much as we can to being the way Dave built in back in the 80's-its been on the strip since 1988, with now a little over 46,000 original miles on it. When we bought it ,we upgraded the roll cage and when we pulled out the carpet found the original primer with no rust in the car. It has fiberglass doors, hood, front fenders, decklid, and bumpers. Dave told me that he raced the car at 26 tracks in 12 states,--he was one of the founders of the Nostalgia Super Stock, Inc.. Our family feels proud to own such a great car with such a history and looking forward to many more runs down the strip--the car is a blast to drive and everyone we meet are such great people...
