You're going love those 3.36's. I think it's a great all around gear ratio. In my '62, I went from a 3.70 P case posi., to them. You can still wind the motor out nicely and the rpm's in 4th gear are still within reason. I think I had the 3.70's in for about 2 weeks before I decided they weren't for me. That higher numeric ratio certainly has an affect on your engine temp., Carmine.

I am going to add that the best temperature effect I noticed was setting up the distributor on a Sun machine. My biggest issue was that vacuum advance canister I was using was a generic NAPA and was putting out way too much advance. Once the pull in arm was bushed to a close to stock number then the temps responded. This was after insuring the stock fan blades were "half in half out". But you are getting close
