Recommendation For 1962 Impala Front Lower Control Arm Bushing

You might want to check into a polyurethane bushing. If it is a two or three piece bushing, you might get away with using just the poly insert, grease it with silicone grease and push it into the original outer shell. Otherwise, you will have to remove the control arm press out the old and press in the new bushing.

Good idea Jim. I've installed poly bushing in a Corvair, lube, push in, tighten, done. Vendor recommendation?

So another year has passed, and the bushing is still the same! I just drove 200 miles to a friend's BBQ in Ontario Canada, the same place where I ran my '63 Biscayne up and down between the corn fields 4 years ago. I bot the '62 a couple days after that years bbq. I'll be pm'ing a couple of youz guyz... I did find a "parts" alternator bracket I can use to repair mine
