Retro Tach

Might have to get that old black box from the garage attic and fake my '60 now Leo. I've used the retro tach for about 4 years and had thought about mounting the box, but didn't know if that would be like "cheating". You may have convinced me it's ok.

Just took a look at this. The insides appear to be shot but that cover is in great shape. If that's all you needed, bidding is at $41.00. Cost $65.00 to have the cover redone, Carmine.

The "Tachman" website says that 90% of the old tachs don't work anymore and many opt to have them refitted with solid state parts in the tach display housing. The transmitter box can be gutted and retained for "the look" under the hood. I have no idea what others with the original working transmitters are using for batteries since the 1.3 volt mercury batteries have not been available for many years.

'Fraid not Steve. Only in Scotts '62. I wouldn't be against having a 9 in the '60, but seems like my wallet is against it!!
