Yes...the car will get a frame off...returning it to its "as raced" condition. We'll start with reconditioning the aluminum. My paint and body shop is booked with Evan's Z11 and Tom's 62 convertible. While those projects are working...I'll work on the frame and drive train

Any reason that you are going to use oven cleaner instead of airplane paint remover? Both are alkaline, however, I think that the airplane paint remover is better suited for the job. For removing the paint, I would use a plastic spatula and follow up with the 3M abrasive pads. They are tough enough to clean to the bare metal, but not damage the aluminum. I use a 80 grit 3M to clean the wifes frying pans that have a non stick coating on them, and it hasn't hurt the finish yet.
