Steel Valve Covers

Of the steel valve covers, are there any which would give more clearance for roller rockers/poly locks than others?

I am aware of the variations in the stock plug wire locations thru the years thanks to an old Show Cars catalogue, and of course the ones with drippers but have yet to find any info concerning a difference in height from the gasket rail to the inside top of the cover.

I personally prefer the look of painted covers even though not correct for a 63’ - except for Z-11. VC spacers are available but I am aiming to avoid them.

Thanks,

Tom O

The only difference in stock covers that I know is the 58 only ones and you only gain on the front and rear ends as they are more rounded there. I am running stock valve covers with no drippers on my 690 heads with scorpion rockers with no problems. I do have the 3/8 thick gaskets for a little extra room.
