I decided against a kick out down the side. Just not enough room along the crossmember to make it big enough to justify the effort. Enlarged the front to clear the rods and added a baffle with a trap door to keep the oil in the sump under braking. Leak test tomorrow and move onto othe projects.

Looks good, but you might want to paint it...:winnerLooks like it has the capacity of a 318 Detroit. So, what else are you doing Dan?

Paint it? I thought the oil leaks took care of that :tongue.
Pistons, rings, revalve the rear shocks, change a header tube, add an accusump, take the rear apart and inspect, check rod ends on the rear control arms, and about 50 other small things. A lot of changing small things just to make things cleaner or easier to get at etc. A race car is like a an old dump truck. There is never a shortage of things to screw with!

Been a while since I’ve been in here. Decided to redo my trunk. It had been done with the rattle can spatter and that stuff sucks. Biggest problem was my fuel system is in the trunk. Any fuel spilled stained and turned the rattle can stuff to jelly. This time I used Zolatone. Very nice stuff. I wish someone still made spatter that looked factory but it doesn’t exist. This is grey/white that is repackaged and sold by The Parts Place.
