Transmission Alignment

My old one is 2 .9 inches and the package size is 3.3 inches. I know I need to get this all straight but still don’t why I could not slip the transmission in.???

Yes I think you’re right. I found the spec on that keg bearing and the outside diameter is larger. Boy I tell you for being retired I worked 7 hour yesterday and 6 today and accomplish almost nothing , just like work.

If you look at the bottom of the page it has the dimensions but it for 5 different bearings none match to my old one

I have pictures of the clutch and fly wheel. My question is if you look at the clutch it has a center side the sticks out and a side that is flush. Which side goes towards the fly wheel. Flush! When I was in college a buddy finished the clutch replacement on my 409 Impala and did it wrong.

Working on mine right now. I marked my disc because of my low IQ. RAM sintered iron. This is how it was when tore down.

I do not understand why they aren't marked from the manufacturer.

Just put b/h back on due to not having clutch fork on when installing the first time. DUH....:doh:doh20230420_153330.jpg
