Here's the full scoop after working some details out with the track.

Bring your 348-409 powered car and come race.

So far there is a $3,000 purse. $500 to quickest reaction time in 348-409 time trials and remainder split between first place and runner up.

The 348-409 Shootout is on Saturday. Entry fee is $60. You will get back $50 No delay box allowed. 2 step or trans brake ok. Test and Tune all day for $40

They plan on running us so we can have some cool down time for those who want to get in the Gamblers Race on Saturday. It may get tight on cool down as the field gets narrowed down. Entry $100-$125 TBA with number of entries.

Sunday there will be 6 classes to enter with a Wally in each class. Last year it was great to watch the Oak Street Kuenster's take one home with the El Camino :flag Box/no box. Can be seen on NHRA TV. See www.tristateraceway.com for classes and entry fees.

Gates are always open. Don't forget to pay. Campgrounds on site with full hookups with reservations or dry camp where you park. Do not park by orange cones as they are reserved spots and you WILL have to move.

I don't get why or how air/solenoid shifters and delay boxes became a thing. I always thought driving a car was should be a big part of auto racing. That's why I like midgets and sprint cars. Zero electronics and aids. Just a huge power to weight ratio and skill.
